The university adapts its teaching to online mode until 5 December in all study programmes following the request of the Generalitat Valenciana, and with the aim of reducing travel and easing the pressure on the infrastructure network.
The Generalitat Valenciana has informed the Valencian universities of the forecasts for the recovery of the public transport network over the next few weeks. To help alleviate the pressure on the transport infrastructure network and services in the current critical situation, they call for restricting the use of private vehicles and avoiding public transport for journeys that can be made on foot, bicycle or scooter.
To this end, the Generalitat Valenciana has informed the universities with campuses located in Valencia and its metropolitan area of the need to adopt an online teaching modality, up to and including 5 December.
In view of this requirement from the Generalitat Valenciana, we would like to inform you of the steps we are taking to guarantee academic continuity for our students, adapting and following, at this time, the recommendations made by the authorities.
From Monday 11 November, teaching activity will resume online until at least 5 December, through AulaVirtualUV, on all campuses of the Universitat de València, and in all study programmes of the UV.
To this end, each Faculty or School of the Universitat de València will inform about the way of restarting the teaching activity based on the characteristics of each university degree, following the guidelines for adaptation to teaching which can be consulted in this document (pdf).
Attendance at external internships centres will generally return to normal. If students are unable to attend the placement centre in-person, the period may be extended. If, due to force majeure, external internships cannot be completed, they may be substituted or supplemented.
In relation to student tutorings, all teaching staff will now participate in the virtual tutoring programme, in order to guarantee attention by telematic means. There will be no face-to-face tutorings.
The UV set up an information system to collect the needs of the university community located in the affected areas in order to provide them with support for follow-up teaching, to the extent of the UV's possibilities.
The Universitat de València, in coordination with the Generalitat Valenciana, will report, based on the evolution of the situation of the road and transport network, on the next measures to be adopted.
