The Universitat de València's IT Service has provided the teaching and research personnel a recording and videonotes system named Opencast that some classrooms in each faculty have been equipped with.
This equipment allows us to record or stream our lesson or training session, meaning it is aimed at teaching staff who have the opportunity to physically go to their center or faculty and wish to use this system to record themselves teaching a class to later provide it to their students.
The Opencast equipment has a touch screen that we will use to start and stop recording or streaming.
Opencast will record the audio, our camera image, and the computer screen we are using. The following morning, we will have our recording available on our video portal (docenciavirtual.uv.es), which we can share with our students via Aula Virtual, publish with a URL, or simply save for later use.
Additionally, at any moment, we can activate a Stream button in the classroom/room, which streams our class or event live, as if it were a TV broadcast, to anyone we send the classroom URL to.
