The objective of this project was to help guarantee the right to education of boys and girls in situations of social vulnerability, through a program that combines formal education with different artistic disciplines, in order to break the cycle of poverty and promote personal and community development. Thus, action was taken on some basic needs of the Jele Kosobé Center that couldn’t be covered before due to lack of economic resources, such as improving school facilities, improving the professional qualification of teachers and facilitating access to basic education of quality of boys and girls of Kalaban Koro belonging to families with scarce economic resources.

Specifically, action was taken on aspects such as the conditioning and improvement of the school facilities, through the reform and acquisition of new furniture; the construction of a new classroom, to split two courses that were taught in the same one; fitting out a space for a library or computer room, since there was no place to put the computer material acquired in previous years; teacher training, after the detection that teachers had a very low level and lacked basic tools to make the learning process more effective; and facilitating access to school for families without resources, since school fees, although low, are often an impediment for many Malian children to attend school.
