ECONOMICS FOR THE SUSTAINABILITY OF LIFE: CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THE COMMON GOOD AND FEMINISM

The Departments of the Chairs for Economy for the Common Good and Feminist Economics of the Universitat de València and the Regional Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labour of the Valencian Government are promoting this course with the aim of presenting proposals and reflecting on the economy for the sustainability of life.

Given the multidimensional crisis scenario highlighted by Covid-19, which is particularly affecting women, the course, focused on the reality of Valencian Community, aims to offer learning and debate spaces to configure the concept of sustainability in a broad sense and under the premises of transformation, taking into account democracy and economic justice, ecological transformation and the proposals made from the economy of the common good and feminist economics. Within this framework, different topics such as housing, mobility, the need for a cultural change, among others, that affect the productive system and the Valencian social reality are developed, in terms of changing the model and satisfying human needs linked to the 2030 Agenda.
This seminar is recognised by CEFIRE Gandia.
