Research Personnel in Training from the Department of Art History of the University of Valencia (2020). Andrés Ávila Valverde (Mislata, 1995) has a degree in History (2013-2017) and Art History (2017-2019), both from the University of Valencia. Thanks to the ERASMUS program, he was able to stay during the 2015-2016 academic year at the Università della Sapienza, in Rome. Likewise, he has carried out curricular internships at the Museu d'Història de València where he worked on aspects related to communication and social networks (2017) and has collaborated with the magazine Makma of visual arts and contemporary culture (2019).
In the academic year 2018-2019, he obtained the Collaboration Grant with the Department of Art History of the University of Valencia, starting in the research tasks linked to the mentioned department. However, its academic production began after the completion of the University Master of Academic Excellence in Art History and Visual Culture at the University of Valencia and the Jaume I University of Castelló (2019-2020) and the subsequent obtaining of the Teacher Training scholarship University (FPU) of the Ministry of Universities, becoming, as of November 1, 2020, Research Personnel in Training at the Department of Art History of the University of Valencia.
His general interests are in art, history, culture, Christianity, and languages. Currently, he is focused on research and he is carrying out his doctoral thesis whose title is 'THE EUCHARIST IN VALENCIAN ART: COMMUNION CHAPELS AND TRASAGRARIES' inserted in the I+D Research Project of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness: GEOART (https://geoart.es/) on Geographies of artistic mobility. Valencia in Modern Times, directed by professor Mercedes Gómez-Ferrer Lozano (mercedes.gomez-ferrer@uv.es).
Finally, since December 2020 he has held the position of Vice President of the Association of young researchers of the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Valencia, 'PANGAEA', where he has been a member since 2019.

Francesc Granell Sales (Alfara del Patriarca, 1993) is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Art History at the Universitat de València. In 2015 he completed the Degree in Art History at the UV and a year later a Master's Degree in Art History and Visual Culture in the same university. In 2018 he obtained a PhD contract funded by the Generalitat Valenciana and the European Social Fund.Then he carried out his thesis "L'aura de la memòria. La imatge de Jaume I en la València baixmedieval (ca. 1338 - ca. 1538)", presented in July 2022. Since that moment he has been awarded with two postdoctoral contracts: Margarita Salas (Ministerio de Universidades) and APOSTD 2023 (Generalitat Valenciana). His topic research is the visual culture in the late Middle Ages. He has studied royal images, pictorial representations of Jews and Muslims and now he is analysing the late medieval "portraits" in the Hispanic territories. |
