
The PERTE Chip-UV Chair attended the III Valencia Silicon Forum, an event related to the ecosystem of semiconductors held in Valencia.
The institutional opening took place during the conference on June 4. Moreover, The Vice-Rector for Innovation and Transfer at the University of Valencia, José María Montiel, collaborated on the event.
On the same day, the Director of The PERTE Chip-UV Chair, Càndid Reig, gave a presentation on his formative project, as well as on the Chair and on the rest of projects that form part of it.
The schedule also included the VLC Chip City Awards ceremony dinner, which received the presence of the Rector of the University of Valencia, Juan Luis Gandía.
In the III Valencia Silicon Forum framework, the University of Valencia was granted the 2026 VLC ChipCity Award due to its boost to the technology centre of semiconductors. The prize honors the contribution of the UV to education, research and development of the ecosystem of microships within the Valencia Silicon Cluster.
