The shooting to create and put into operation the network of Valencian micro-reserves of flora began 35 years ago. The idea gave rise to a pioneering initiative that has resulted in the world's densest network of small protected areas for wild flora, with 312 areas spread throughout the Valencian geography, which are regularly monitored and managed.
