CIDE participates in the World Irrigation Forum, organised by the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID), one of the most important global meetings on water management. Its fourth edition (4th World Irrigation Forum, WIF4), organised in collaboration with the Malaysian national committee (MANCID), will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 7 to 13 September 2025.

Ramón López-Urrea, a researcher with CIDE's Water and Crops Group, will participate in the panel discussion ‘Updating crop water requirement estimation for improved yields and water saving in a changing environment’.

This forum brings together specialists, authorities and financial institutions to discuss advances in policies, technologies and innovation in irrigation and drainage. It also promotes collaboration between institutions, drives political commitments and provides a space for professionals to present relevant research on agricultural water management.
