Today, Thursday 13 November, at 3:30 p.m., a webinar organised by COST FruitCREWS will take place, with the participation of Diego Intrigliolo, a CSIC researcher at CIDE.
Professor Intrigliolo, who has extensive experience in the study of water management in fruit orchards, will discuss the topic ‘Water savings and water use efficiency: what is required beyond precision irrigation?’ proposing efficient options that go beyond precision irrigation.
FruitCREWS is an action funded by the COST programme (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), aimed at studying the response of fruit trees to water stress in different environments. Specifically, this Action aims to identify the most effective tools for monitoring the water status of plants in real time, helping producers to plan their irrigation with precision using new technologies. It is made up of an extensive network of researchers, water authorities, service providers, SMEs and fruit producers with the aim of disseminating findings and raising awareness of water scarcity issues.
