Sagunto, June 18, 2025. The Delegated Commission of the Bancaja Foundation in Sagunto is offering tomorrow, Thursday, June 19, at the Casa Capellà Pallarés, the multimedia concert "Divulgar con arte," a proposal that fuses art, science, and nature with the aim of reflecting on whether music is an appropriate means to promote scientific dissemination about the environment.

Laura Granero and Toni Romero, contemporary piano students at the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory of Music in Valencia, will perform four pieces composed by Beatriz Ros, Álvaro Gorrea, Mar Caballer, and Pablo Llopis, students of composition, electroacoustics, and sonology at the same institution. The concert is organized by the Center for Desertification Research (CIDE, CSIC-UV-GVA), the Joaquín Rodrigo Superior Conservatory of Music in Valencia, the European University of Valencia, the Ecological Research Center and Forest Applications (CREAF-CSIC), the Artistic Musical Center of Moncada, the Moncada City Council, the Sapiencia association, and the Delegated Commission of the Bancaja Foundation in Sagunto.

The performance is part of the research project Divulgarte, which aims to analyze whether scientific dissemination through innovative artistic formats can contribute to a better understanding of nature. The concert will be completed with the participation of the audience, who will reflect their impressions through a survey, thus contributing to the research project.

The compositions that will be performed on stage convey some knowledge accumulated in recent years through research on the nature that surrounds us, based on the complexity of stories that occur in natural environments and their importance for maintaining biodiversity.

The scientific team of the study consists of two researchers from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Higher Council for Scientific Research; Francisco Lloret (CREAF-UAB), an expert in forest areas; Alicia Montesinos (CIDE, CSIC-UV-GVA), a specialist in arid zones; from psychology, Romina Lencina and Ana Povoa (European University of Valencia), who will evaluate how the artistic format transforms the audience's perception; Ana Maymó (CIDE, CSIC-UV-GVA), a specialist in communication and scientific dissemination; and Miguel Ángel Beris, supervisor of the students' final degree projects.

The concert will take place tomorrow, June 19, at 7:00 PM, in the auditorium of the Casa Capellà Pallarés in Sagunto (C/ Caballeros, 12). Admission is free, subject to capacity.
