On March 21 and 22 will be held the Divulgative Seminar "Desertification
in the Mediterranean: Soils, plants and forest fires" within the
framework of a course aimed at teachers of secondary school coordinated
by Miguel Verdú. The proposal addresses the meaning, scope and
implications of the Desertification concept, in which aspects related to
soil, plants and ecological disturbances such as forest fires are
determining factors. The conferences are open to the public and will
take place in the Assembly Hall of the Central Services of the Valencian
Institute for Agrarian Research (IVIA). More information about the
