
The Desertification Research Centre (CIDE, CSIC-UV-GVA), a joint center of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the University of Valencia, and the Valencian Regional Government, located in Moncada (Valencia), is offering a job contract for people under 30 years of age as part of the Investigo Program.
The recruitment will strengthen the Institute's capabilities in the field of data science and digitization for modeling hydrological processes and variables in natural ecosystems.
The Investigo Program is an initiative aimed at promoting the recruitment of young people in public research organizations, universities, and technology centers that develop R&D&I projects.
The selected candidate will join CIDE and perform technical tasks related to research projects in the field of hydrology and ecosystems, including:
- Supporting the improvement of codes for forest point cloud processing in different programming languages (Matlab, R, Python, and C++).
- Developing a platform for the integration of satellite data.
- Creating and maintaining a website for the ecoNET lab.
The contract will be for 12 months, full-time (from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), and is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2026. The gross annual salary is €28,930.74.
Requirements for candidates
- Be under 30 years of age.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Data Science, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Computer Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
- Not have had an employment relationship with the CSIC in the six months prior to hiring.
- Be registered as a job seeker with LABORA.
