The partners of the DIVERGRAPE project, funded by ERANET SUSCROP, meet at CIDE and visit the experimental vineyards of El Rebollar and El Cerrito. The meeting also served to communicate the main results obtained to the Denominación de Origen Utiel Requena.
DIVERGRAPE, with reference PCI2022-135095-2, directly targets current challenges in viticulture by closing the gap of knowledge imposed by the large diversity of rootstocks and grapevine varieties and clones used. The results will be directly transferred to improve farming practices to combat environmental constraints due to climate change.
Among target groups, intermediate professional organisations (OIV), Denomination of Origin (D.O. Utiel-Requena, Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux and Consorzio delle DOC-FVG), Wine Associations (Austrian Wine Association), Local producer cooperative, Farmers and Extension services are involved.
The project is coordinated by the Desertification Research Centre (CIDE, CSIC-UV-GVA) and involves the Institut National de Recherche pour l'Agriculture, l'Alimentation et l'Environment (INRAE) of France, and the University of Natural Resources and LIfe Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) of Austria.
Target groups include intermediate professional organizations (OIV), Appellations of Origin (D.O. Utiel-Requena, Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux and Consorzio delle DOC-FVG), wine associations (Austrian Wine Association), local producer cooperatives, farmers and extension services.
