This cross-disciplinary programme develops advanced tools for monitoring and modelling terrestrial ecosystems at different spatial and temporal scales. Using remote sensing technologies, we generate critical data to track ecosystem dynamics, assess land degradation and improve predictive models of desertification in scenarios of global change.
