II WORKSHOP JUNIOR RESEARCHERS DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION JUAN JOSE RENAU PIQUERAS

The Department of Business Management organizes the II Research Workshop for young researchers of the Department of Business Management.
The Workshop will take place on May 30 and 31, 2024 in the departmental classrooms in person. It is aimed at researchers in the initiation phase of the research period, both doctoral students and Junior researchers (Doctoral Assistants, Doctoral Contractors and staff from the department starting research articles who want to share and receive feedback). The main idea is to promote research activity and debates at an academic and scientific level and relationships between colleagues in the department in a close and relaxed environment.
The objective of this event is fourfold:
1st Promoting culture and research activities in the Department.
2nd Supporting and motivating new generations of researchers.
3rd Knowing and valuing our work and that of our colleagues in the department so that we can find synergies and or strengthen working relationships.
4th Promoting presence in the department's activities and research activity.
Format
The Workshop consists of two different sessions:
1. Session for research in very initial stages (Beginner Session): this is a Poster session aimed mainly at people in the initial stages of the research process, especially doctoral students, but also young researchers from the department who have some idea of a preliminary article and want to receive feedback. Posters are a format widely used in international scientific conferences that aim to present an idea in a very clear and direct way so that those attending the session can chat with the Beginners and exchange ideas and feedback in a relaxed way. It will take place on the second day of the workshop in the morning (Friday the 31st).
2. Session for finished articles (Junior researcher session). This session is aimed at articles with results. It is designed for doctoral students in the final stages of their doctorate and, especially, for assistants and contracted doctors of the department. It is a session with a speaker format and questions/comments from the public. This is a format that allows Juniors to present their articles and receive feedback in a certain degree of detail from colleagues in the department. It will take place on the first day of the Workshop (Thursday 30, morning and afternoon depending on the number of submissions).
Important dates
• Submission deadline for Beginner Session - Poster Submission: May 1st.
• Submission deadline for Junior Session – Submission of finished papers: May 1.
Papers are accepted in English, Spanish and Valencian.
The works must be sent to the secretary of the Department Ana Ejarque (Ana.t.ejarque) or to Ana Botella (Ana.botella@uv.es)
The program of the sessions will be communicated at the beginning of May.
