The main objective of the doctoral programme in electronic engineering is the training of doctors in the research fields of electronic engineering with the general competences listed in the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, i.e.: systematic understanding of the field of study of legal sciences, and mastery of their skills and research methods; capacity to conceive, design or create, put into practice and adopt a substantial process of research or creation; capacity to carry out a critical analysis and evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas, as well as to communicate with the academic and scientific community and with society in general about their fields of knowledge; and the ability to promote, in academic and professional contexts, scientific, technological, social, artistic or cultural progress within a knowledge-based society. The main objective is the preparation and defence of the doctoral thesis in electronic engineering, in the process of which the doctoral student will have to acquire a high level of professional training in various fields, especially in those that require creativity and innovation, to develop in contexts with little specific information, to find the key questions that need to be answered to solve a complex problem, design, create, develop novel and innovative projects in their field of knowledge, etc.
