Cross-disciplinary activities
Doctoral students should study the following cross-disciplinary activities:
1. Writing of scientific articles (Code 50000).
2.The open movement in science and research (Code 50019).
3. Selection, implementation and interpretation of basic statistical techniques in research (Code 50460).

Temporary planning of the training activity:
.- First or second year for full-time students.
.-First, second or third year for part-time students.
Details: Cross-disciplinary activity organised by the Staff Development Service of the UV with the aim that students know the norms which are applied in regard to scientific publications, analyse the components of a scientific article and apply their technic knowledge in the elaboration of a specific article. The contents to be developed are:
o Types of scientific publications.
o Basic guidelines for writing scientific articles.
or Ethical obligations of authors.
o Constituent elements of a scientific article: summary, key work, introduction, methods, results, discussion and references.
o Recommendations to prepare tables and charts.
o Recommendation to quotes and references.
o Databases on impact indexes.

Time planning will be carried out according to the necessity to know the writing of this kind of documents when it comes to organising the information on the subject of study.
Details: Cross-disciplinary activity organised by the Staff Development Service of the UV with the aim that students:
-know the different aspects of Open Science, the Open Access movement, its origins and its paths,
-locate and access the information available on Open Science and take advantage, as an author and/or researcher in training, of the possibilities offered by Open Science.
-know and enforce your rights as an author as well as the types of licenses that can be used for the publication of our works
-know and make use of the tools for dissemination or open publication offered by the Universitat de València.
