The qualification of Doctor is obtained after the passing of the corresponding training aimed at the acquisition of the competencies and skills related to quality scientific research  and will finish with the elaboration and defence of a doctoral thesis that adds original research results.

It will issued in the name of the King by the principal of the University of Seville, it will have an official nature in the national territory and will empower its possessor to enjoy the rights given by the current provisions. The denomination of the Doctor qualification will be “ Doctorate from the University of Seville”. In the case of inter-university programmes, shall be subject to the RD 1002/2010 or current legislation in the area.
