
The project involves CALAGUA-UV-UPV group, together with Labaqua, leader of the consortium, AIMPLAS, Aigües Municipals de Paterna, S.A. and CALPECH.
The INNOCUA project, "INdustrial Research in QUArternary Technologies to Ensure Health and Environmental Safety in the Reuse of Treated Water," has a total budget of 840.301€ and will focus on the study of various technologies such as photocatalysis, ultrafiltration, ozonation, and activated carbon adsorption, among others. These techniques will enable the removal of emerging contaminants and microplastics present in water, thus complying with the recent European regulations on urban wastewater treatment.
