The Degree in Data Science has been recently verified, so it will be taught from the next academic year 2018-2019 in the ETSE-UV.

In response to the high professional and social demand, during the last academic year the procedures for the implementation of this degree began, given that "The Universitat de València meets all the conditions to impart this multidisciplinary degree"

According to the documentation provided, the amount of recorded data doubles every two years and, in 2020, the forecasts indicate that we will have stored as many bits as there are stars in the Universe. "There is a proven social and economic demand, with a tendency to grow in the next few years, of professionals with the profile that a Degree in Data Science would provide. This demand is expected to be sustainable over time, given the social trends and industrial / economic needs that are settling irreversibly. "

This project will affect in a noticeable benefit in the general ranking of the UV with regard to the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) and cooperation with the company.
