The DAM Chair of Integral Management and Resource Recovery of Wastewater (DAM Chair) of the Universitat de València organises a conference for the occasion of World Water Day, which will take place on the 22nd March.
This will be a free entry event aimed at public organisations, experts in the field, researchers and university students related to the treatment of wastewater and the recovery of resources in it.
The conference, which will take place at the ‘Joan Pelechano’ Assembly Hall of the Engineering Technical School of the Universitat de València, will revolve around two main topics: circular economy applied to the water sector and the recovery of aquatic ecosystems from artificial wetlands. The complete schedule will be the following:
- 11:00 — Opening.
- 11:15 — Water: the base of circular economy. Imparted by professor Dr. Joaquín Melgarejo Moreno, Instituto Universitario del Agua y las Ciencias Ambientales (IUACA) of the Universitat de Alicante.
- 12:00 — Artificial wetlands during the recovery of aquatic ecosystems. Project Life + Albufera. Given by professor Dr. Miguel Martín Monerris, Research Institute of Water and Environmental Engineering (IIAMA) of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
- 12:45 — Open question time.
