The Experimenta Fair of the Faculty of Physics celebrates the Experimenta TOP Workshop this Thursday, June 17. Through a live broadcast, several winning teams of the 2021 edition, of ESO and Baccalaureate, will explain their experimental innovation projects and answer the questions posed by the students and teachers of the educational centres that connect to the broadcast. There are already almost 100 centres registered for this STEM workshop (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with an audience of more than 2,000 secondary school students.

The free registration digital workshop will consist of two parts. The first one, from 10 am to 11 am, will feature the projects “¡Uy, qué tensión!” (‘Wow, what a tension!’), “Electromagnetismo y resonancia para salvar vidas” (‘Electromagnetism and resonance to save lives’) and “Cohete de Agua” (‘Water Rocket’). From 12 to 13 hours, it will be dedicated to the proposals “Clases sin COVID ni resfriados” (‘Classes without COVID or colds’), “¡Lávate bien las manos!” (‘Wash your hands well!’) and “Reciclar es fácil” (‘Recycling is easy’). More information about each of the parties in this link.

In addition to the students and teachers of the winning projects, there will be a representation of the fair’s juries and with the collaboration and intervention of the astrophysicist, disseminator and youtuber Elena Denia.

To participate, the centres must fill out the registration and use the link they will receive, where they can connect from class. The contents of the Experimenta TOP Workshop are interesting for all subjects in the scientific-technological field of ESO and Baccalaureate and are also proposed as a starting point for reasoning and discussion in class.

In this way, teachers and students will see in detail and understand live several of the projects that were awarded in the Experimenta 2021 fair-contest and that will be explained by the ESO and Baccalaureate groups that have developed them. There will be a space dedicated to your questions and comments, which you can ask in real time during the broadcast.

The Experimenta Fair-Contest is an initiative organised by the Faculty of Physics of the University of Valencia in collaboration with different entities and institutions, among which the Foundation for Science and Technology (FECyT) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation stands out.
