The Public art / public university exhibition is an initiative of the Universitat de València seeking to revitalise the Burjassot and Blasco Ibañez Campuses and transform the university environment into a place of art intervention open to society. To that end, the organisation selects a series of art projects of high ephemeral degree which reflect on contemporary art’s approximation to science and social & human ciences, turning them into the catalyst for other kinds of transversal knowledge and interact with the university space.

The XXIV Public art / public university exhibition will take place in two exhibition spaces this year 2021, from October 4th to November 2nd on the Burjassot Campus, and from October 22nd to November 22nd on the Blasco Ibáñez Campus.  The jury of this edition have selected the art interventions of all following artists: Rossi Aguilar & Andrea Siervo, Joaquín Artime, Pablo Bellot, Azahara Cerezo, Anaïs Florin, Miquel Garcia Membrado, Sara Gurrea, Laura José, Sergio Luna, Suri Kim & Ángel Arias (SUMOK) and Pep Sales Gabarda.

The jury for the exhibition’s XXIV edition featured: Universitat Politècnica de València’s Professor of Fine Arts Mijo Miques; Mediator and Exhibition Curator Jodie di Napoli; Public art / public university exhibition Curator Alba Braza; and Universitat de València’s Vice-principal for Culture and Sport Esther Alba.

The exhibition is announced by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Services, promoted by the Student Council Branch and organised by the Information and Promotion Service (Sedi), with the collaboration of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Sports.
