
The work establishes a link between plastic’s perdurability and its environmental impact. These printed images address the concept of eternity, the ethics of sustainability and its necessity of being implemented in the scientific and social field.
Suri Kim and Ángel Arias (SUMOK)
SUMOK is a duo formed by Suri Kim (Seoul, South Korea, 1986) and Ángel Arias (Ferrol, 1996), artists currently residing in Valencia. They both studied the Universitat Politècnica de València’s Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and the Master’s Degree in Artistic Production. Their project started in 2015 with a projection in the experimental audio-visual field, which progressively expanded to other disciplines, carrying out video-installation, photography and documentary projects. Kim and Arias worked together in various projects, such as “What is left behind” (2021), for Empresa Municipal de Transportes de València and “Translations” (2019) for Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Terol. On her part, Kim participated in “PAMPAM!20” with her work “3 A.M.” at Reales Ataranzas de València (2021).
