Students who have been enrolled for the first time at the university to initiate their degree studies have the possibility of being in the Entreiguals programme, an initiative of mentoring advice among students that facilitates their arrival to the university life.

The programme contacts first-year students and incoming students with students of higher courses of the same centre. It consists of a relation of peer-to-peer accompaniment that has the objective of helping students during their first days and facilitating their incorporation to university, by familiarising them with university life easily.

Mentors of Entreiguals went through this phase recently, and they also receive specific information to develop their task of accompaniment. In coordination with teachers in charge of the centre, they develop actions that contribute to facilitate the academic, personal and social integration to new students.

Through this support, new students receive practical information on how the university works, the use of academic resources, to move around the campus and to place spaces such as classrooms, labs, or departments, as well as to discover activities and opportunities of complementary participation.

How to access the programme

During the enrolment process and during the first days of class, the faculties and the ETSE-UV will inform new students, through the UV e-mail or whatsapp, about the possibility of having a mentor from Entreiguals. In some centres, it is necessary to indicate if you are interested in participating, while in other, the mentor assignment is made directly.

The mentors’ programme of Entreiguals is in all the centres of the Universitat de València in both of their modalities, for first-year students and for incoming students, except from the Faculty of Social Sciences, where the only active modality is the incoming one.

Entreiguals is a programme promoted by the Vice-rector for Studies and Quality, managed by the Information and Promotion Service for Students (Sedi) and carried out in coordination with the faculties and the ETSE-UV of the Universitat de València.
