Visits to the Universitat. Burjassot Campus

Almost sixteen thousand students in their second year of baccalaureate and final year of vocational training are expected to come to the Universitat to learn about the degrees, facilities and services offered by the Universitat de València for the academic year 2024-2025. Teaching staff, students and service staff make this initiative of the Conèixer programme promoted by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Studies possible.

The visits will take place on 19, 21, 23, 27 and 29 February at the Burjassot, Blasco Ibáñez and Tarongers campuses. On the 22nd, it will also be possible to visit the Ontinyent campus, where students can study for the degrees of Nursing, Business Administration and Management (ADE), Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFE) and Preschool Education.

Visiting students are welcomed by Conèixer guides, students from the centre itself, easily recognisable by the red bibs they wear, who accompany them around the Universitat's main facilities. In addition to the informative talk given by the teaching staff about the degree courses available, some centres also organise demonstrations in laboratories or dynamic activities to make the visit more enjoyable. All students receive a guide, published by the Information and Promotion Service for Students (Sedi), which lists the degrees that can be studied at the faculty or school they have decided to visit, as well as information and frequently asked questions about access and admission to the university.

This year, almost sixteen thousand students are expected to visit the Universitat de València. For the first time, on the initiative of the Academic Trajectories Delegation, visiting students are completing a survey on Visits to the Universitat and their usefulness and interest in choosing a degree and university centre.

For the academic year 2024-2025, the Universitat de València offers 56 degrees in all branches of knowledge and 13 double degrees. It is worth highlighting the new double degree in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism, which can be studied at the Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication, on the Blasco Ibáñez campus.

The Visits to the Universitat of the Conèixer programme, now in their 28th year, are an initiative of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Studies coordinated by the Student Information and Promotion Service (Sedi) and are possible thanks to the teams involved in the eighteen centres that simultaneously host the visits. In addition, other services, such as the libraries, the language self-learning centres and the Natural History Museum, also collaborate in this initiative, with the aim of providing a more complete vision of the Universitat de València.

The Conèixer programme also includes the Information Day for guidance professionals that has already been held (the recordings are available on the Conèixer website) and the information session on access and admission to the Universitat, which will take place in June and which deals with pre-enrolment, enrolment and fees or waiting lists, among other issues of interest to future students.
