The University of València in its technological renovation project has replaced a large part of the pool of computers intended for use in computer classrooms in the centers distributed throughout all the campuses, bringing the figure to almost 1,800 computers.

These computers will support the installation of a network-installed operating system compatible with Cent = S 7.x and 8.x, and desktop virtualization on Windows 10. All have been acquired from an x86-64 architecture with 4 cores, and a performance according to passmark tables of 2300 for single core and 11,000 for multicore. They all have 16GB of DDR4 RAM, USB3 connectivity, 100/1000 network adapters with PXE Legacy compatible, and Wake On Lan (WoL). They are equipped with 240GB SSD hard drives.

This massive replacement of equipment is part of the renewal and adaptation of the support that from the Servei d'Informàtica is carried out towards teaching and research at the UV, and lays the foundations for teaching with ICT equipment that will be carried out in the classrooms computer science UV the next academic courses.
