In 2024, the Universitat de València and the AIMPLAS Technological Institute of Plastics established a University-Corporate Chair to strengthen the link between academia and the plastics industry with the aim of comprehensively addressing current and future challenges of sustainability and innovation of plastic materials.

The primary goal of this chair is to promote training, research, development and knowledge transfer in the plastics industry, with a special focus on sustainability and innovation, as well as the development of talent and the raising of social responsibility and awareness. The partnership between the Universitat de València and AIMPLAS enables the integration of academic research with the needs and advancements of the plastics industry, which is crucial for the Valencian Community and the rest of the world.

The AIMPLAS Chair of the Universitat de València is a collaborative space for research, training and joint action. Its goal is to promote the sustainable development of the plastics industry in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
