This event arises from the need to demystify artistic work from the perspectives of education and the social sciences, proposing a pluralistic space to analyze how educational institutions respond to the material realities of artistic and cultural work in different contexts.

Its objective is to establish an international academic dialogue to analyze the intersection between art education and the labor market, contrasting the structural and institutional realities of Spain and Argentina, in order to develop a collaborative IUCIE-EITyA research agenda focused on the sociology of artistic work and educational innovation.

The discussion will focus on the following topics:
What is the current relationship between arts education and the world of work?
Do curricula include a section on characterizing the markets for artistic goods and services, the agents involved in them, and their behavioral dynamics?
What are the working conditions of arts teachers?

Are there genuine artistic vocations for teaching, or is teaching an unchosen career path adopted due to difficulties entering the arts market?
What role does arts education play in the transmission, reproduction, and perpetuation of precarious working conditions and forms of exploitation in the arts?
