
In recent months, IUCIE has continued to grow with the addition of two new members:
Meritxell Villalonga Adell is a predoctoral researcher at the University of Valencia and a doctoral candidate in the Social Sciences Doctoral Program. She holds a degree in Social Work from the University of Valencia, a master's degree in Mediation and Conflict Management from the International University of Valencia, and a degree in Translation and Interpreting from Pompeu Fabra University.
She is developing a doctoral thesis that analyzes the coordination between the Social Services system and the healthcare system, as well as its connection to citizen participation. She has contributed to the drafting of technical reports on social inclusion within the framework of the Valencian Strategy for Socio-Health Coordination and Integration, has participated in national and international conferences, and is a co-author of publications on residential inclusion and the role of social services in emergency contexts.
Vicente Garcia Martínez holds a degree in Hispanic Philology, specializing in Valencian Philology, from the University of Valencia and a PhD in Specific Didactics (Language and Literature Didactics) from the same university. Since June 2025, he has held a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Language and Literature Didactics at the Faculty of Teacher Training of the University of Valencia.
His research has focused on aspects related to audiovisual storytelling and ICT from the perspective of their socio-educational impact and on learning processes related to information distribution and access support. His doctoral thesis analyzes the impact of ICT and accountability policies on student assessment processes and on the management of access to public teaching positions in the educational field.
