My name is Valentín Bou-Franch. I got the Degree in Law at the University of Valencia on July 4, 1984. In this same University, I defended my Undergraduate Thesis the 26th of September 1986, as well as  my Doctoral Thesis on the 21st of December 1990.

Currently, I am a Full Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the University of Valencia (Spain). I am also the holder of a Jean Monnet Chair granted by the European Union in regime of competitive concurrence at the global level. The University of Valencia, through its Office of Policy for Excellence (OPEX) has honoured me, recognizing my Jean Monnet Chair as an institutional Chair of the University of Valencia, with the abbreviated name of Jean Monnet Chair "European values".

Both my academic training and my professional career are very much linked to the 'Adolfo Miaja de la Muela' Department of International Law at the Faculty of Law of this University.

The Spanish Ministry of Science and Education has recognized me five consecutive sections (six-year periods) of excellence in research (years: 1989-2018); six consecutive stretches (five-year periods) of excellence in teaching (years: 1987-2016); and ten consecutive three-year periods of seniority (years: 1987-2016).

My main lines of research include: the Legal Regime of Antarctica and the Southern Ocean, International Law of the Sea, International Environmental Law, Procedures for the Settlement of International Disputes, International Protection of Cultural Heritage, European Union Law, International Criminal Law and International Law of Human Rights.

My participation in competitive Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+I) Projects financed with public funds has consisted in participating as a Researcher in six R+D+I Projects funded by the European Union (two times as the Main Researcher); in nine R+D+I Projects at state level (four times as the Main Researcher); and in eight R+D+I Projects at regional level (five times as the Main Researcher). I have obtained two Grants for special R+D+I Actions and three Complementary Grants for R+D+I Projects. I have also participated in two Teaching Innovation Projects.

Carmen Anahí López del Valle García is a pre-doctoral researcher in the “Adolfo Miaja de la Muela” Department of International Law at the University of Valencia, where she is working on her doctoral thesis on climate-induced migration and legal protection from the perspective of international law and European Union law. Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Valencia and a Master’s degree in Environmental Law from Rovira i Virgili University, with a specialisation in public international law, environmental law and migration, with a particular focus on human rights and sustainability. Her academic output includes publications in books and chapters in edited volumes, as well as participation in national and international conferences.

In her professional and teaching roles, she combines her research work with teaching on the Law degree programme, where she has taught the subject ‘Legal Institutions of the European Union’ in the Valencian language, as well as actively collaborating on educational innovation initiatives. Her career is characterised by a close connection to knowledge transfer and climate action, notably her work as an Ambassador for the European Climate Pact and her experience as a trainer in projects linked to the digitalisation of the administration of justice. This profile combines legal specialisation with expertise in legal tech, digital transformation and applied scientific dissemination.

She has consistently participated in competitive teaching innovation and research projects in the field of international and European law, focusing on the integration of digital skills, methodological innovation and digital justice. Notable among these are her involvement in projects on digital moot courts and microlearning applied to international environmental law, as well as her participation in established projects on digital skills in legal teaching and research and in the international judicial application of human rights. Furthermore, she is part of the Valencian Regional Government’s Prometeo R&D&I Project on European Union migration and asylum policy, and of the project funded by the UNESCO Chair “ESG through the lens of private international law”, which demonstrates a career focused on teaching innovation, sustainability and the global challenges of contemporary law.

Fiorella Milagritos Rojas Bocanegra, Research Staff (PIF) ACIF GVA Counseling. She studied a Master's Degree in International and European Studies and graduated in Law from the University of Valencia.

Its main lines of research are framed in International Human Rights Law regarding the protection of the human rights of people in vulnerable situations (especially with respect to older adults and people with disabilities).

He has participated in national and international conferences and conferences on the subject. It also has publications on teaching innovation, development of concept maps, among others. In addition, it is part of the Neuroright Research Group (GIN) of the University of Valencia.

As for teaching, he teaches the subjects of Legal Institutions of the European Union and Public International Law, in the Degrees in Law and the Double Degree in Law and Criminology.

Daria Terrádez Salom holds a PhD in Constitutional Law with an international mention from the University of Valencia, where she defended the thesis The European Social Charter in the Spanish Constitutional Order, distinguished with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. She also has a degree in Law, specialising in Public Law, from the University of Valencia, and has completed an online Master's Degree in International Migration and Immigration Law. She has also completed a Degree in Political Science and Administration from the UNED. She is currently working as a senior postdoctoral researcher in the Department of International Law "Adolfo Miaja de la Muela" of the University of Valencia. She also teaches the subject of Public International Law at the Faculty of Law and combines it with her work as a Professor-Tutor at the UNED, in different university degrees such as Criminology, Social and Cultural Anthropology and Political Science. In relation to her language skills, she is fluent in three languages, French, English and Italian, in addition to Valencian.

Her main lines of research focus on fundamental rights, both from a national and international and comparative perspective, with special attention to social rights and their guarantee mechanisms, particularly the European Social Charter and the European Committee of Social Rights. She has also researched on International Human Rights Law, European Union Law, focusing on issues such as poverty and social exclusion, migrant people. Due to her background in Political Science, she has researched issues related to political violence in dictatorial regimes, repressive law, racism and xenophobia, hate speech and other manifestations of violation of human dignity. In addition to this, she has a diverse professional career, with experience in the regional administration, project management, the legal field, health, education and the third sector, highlighting, among other positions, that of Director General of Relations with the European Union and the State of the Generalitat Valenciana for almost seven years.

Among her most relevant publications, the monograph The European Social Charter in the Spanish Constitutional Order (Athenaica, 2018), a work on the normative force, justiciability and centrality of social rights in the Spanish constitutional system, stands out. Along with this monograph, works such as "The application of the European Social Charter through regional legislation. Chronicle of a State-Autonomous Region Disparity", "Fight against social exclusion and poverty. The necessary ratification of the revised European Social Charter and its protocol on collective complaints in Spain", "The right to decent housing as a precondition for the enjoyment of other fundamental rights", "Right to health, irregular immigration and linkage to the pronouncements of international supervisory bodies: chronicle of a Canadian grotesque" and, more recently, "Housing as a fundamental right.
