The call for participation in the 5th edition of the International Script Workshop in Colombia is now open. The registration period is open until the next 30 April.

Do you like cinema? Do you have talent and creativity to write scripts? If the answer is yes, keep reading. As you know, scripts are a crucial part of telling stories. The 5th edition of the International Script Workshop in Colombia, aiming to develop and improve film projects from Ibero-America, offers the possibility of presenting and learnimg in this event. The call will remain open until 30 April. Do not miss this opportunity!
Which are the requirements for participation?
If you want to be selected to participate in this edition, you must attach in the application form, in a single PDF format file - whose name will be TitleOfScript-NameOfAuthor.pdf), the following documents and in this precisely order:
- Curriculum Vitae of the scriptwriter (two pages maximum).
- Scanned passport (foreigners) or citizenship card (Colombians).
- Copyright of the script (must be processed to the competent authority of each country).
- Synopsis (one page maximum).
- Fiction film script (60 pages minimum and 120 pages maximum). (Step Outline or film treatment are not allowed. Just sequence or dialogue scripts).
A little more about LabScript
The initiative LabGuion (ScriptWorkshop) was born to improve the specialised training of scriptwriters of Colombia and Ibero-America. LabGuion allows qualifying projects of 24 film scriptwriters through master lectures and exchanges with other fellows during a week. A total of 90 projects have already gone through one of the editions held of this initiative that has led to more than 18 works to be scholarship or awards winners.
Almost 100 Ibero-American film projects have gone through LabGuion to improve the technique and the elaboration of its script in the past four editions celebrated in Colombia
If you are one of the 24 scriptwriters whose work has been selected, you can benefit from the activities organised by LabGuion to improve your project. Now, if you decide to participate and you have been already chosen by the committee, you must guarantee your availability to be present at the 5th edition of this initiative, which will take place at Santa Fe de Antioquia (45 Km from Medellín), from 16 to October 2017.
Thereupon, you can consult opinions of scriptwriters who participated on this particular “workshop” to improve their technic during previous editions.
