Estimados estudiantes,

el próximo martes 4-dic-18, a las 13h en el aula habitual (AI-16B), la Dra. María Gutiérrez Mecinas (Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology, University of Glasgow, UK), impartirá la conferencia que lleva por título "Excitatory interneurons in the superficial dorsal horn of the mouse".

Más información sobre la conferenciante y el tema, en sus propias palabras:

"I currently work at the Spinal Cord Group, led by Professor Andrew J Todd. We are based at the Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology (University of Glasgow, UK). My main interest in research is to understand the connectivity of neurons in the superficial dorsal horn of the spinal cord. This area is known for receiving and processing information (including that coding for pain and itch) from the body and viscera before sending it to the brain to make it conscious. My research aims to understand and define the implication of the different types of neurons in this area using different techniques including, but not limited to, changes in behavioural responses to different stimuli, cell connectivity or neuronal organization"
