Is there any information on the subjects?

Yes, in the section of the master’s degree programme, curriculum, there is information available on the subjects of the Master’s Degree

 

What is the timetable?

The regular timetable is from Monday to Friday in the afternoons (3 hours approximately, from 16:30 to 19:30). However, the timetable may vary slightly depending on the availability of professors and timetables formalisation.

 

How long does it last?

One academic year, starts in October and ends in September of the following year, although the completion of the Master’s Degree final Project could be extended until December.

 

Can I take the Master’s Degree in 2 years?

Yes, there is the possibility of the taking it in 2 years. In fact, we recommend to take the Master’s Degree in a part-time basis if students doesn’t have enough time, in case they are working etc.

Full-time students should attend classes 5 days per week (3 hours each afternoon). Part-time students should attend 3 classes per week and 2 classes others.
 

Is there any full-time modality (morning-afternoon)?

There is no full-time modality, nor any blended modality. The only possibility is to take it in a full-time basis in one academic year or part-time in two academic years.

 

Does the Master’s have access to the Doctoral Studies?

Yes, although it is noteworthy that the Doctoral Programme has two differentiated phases:

  • Training Period
  • Research Period (focus on the development of the Doctoral Thesis and leads to the completion of the Official Doctoral Qualification)

What happens if I choose the academic pathway of the Master’s Degree in Business Strategy and I wish to do the Doctoral Studies of Business Management?

If you choose the academic pathway (vocational guidance), you would be also admitted in the research phase, but you should take during the first year the 30 credits of the subjects of the research profile.

 

How much does it cost?

The price of the Master’s Degree is set annually according to official rates. As a guideline, the price per credit is €29, 87, so the Master’s Degree costs around 1, 800 euros. This amount only includes the tuition fees.
The cost of materials is variable, but not very high (around €500 generally)

 

 What is the total number of vacancies?

40 places We would like to admit all those who are interested in accessing to the Master’s but the limit of places it is intended for managing a small group and to prepare classes adapted to the spirit of the European Education Area.

 

Which is the profile of the Master’s Degree students?

In the Master’s Degree there is a quite varied profile. There are people with experience (some of them with a lot of experience) and there are also recent graduates. There is the same proportion of professionals and recent graduates, maybe there are a few more recent graduates.
The profile is varied regarding to nationalities. However, each year this may vary.

 

What is the teaching language of the Master’s?

The Master’s Degree is bilingual, some of the subjects are taught in English and other in Spanish, but there is not a Spanish or English version exclusively (there are no separate groups). In many cases we received visits from foreign professors who teach the classes in English. Generally the teaching will be almost all in Spanish, although the materials and documentation might be in English.
A minimum level for understanding a lecturer and and to interact minimally with him if necessary.
We hope to increase the teaching in English in next editions until reaching an equalitarian distribution between the two languages (50% each). Despite this, all professors understand and can speak English without problems.

 

Is required a minimum level of Engligh or Spanish

For the applicants who come from English speaking countries they just need to certify their Spanish level. Those coming from other countries they should certify their level in Spanish and English. The minimum level required can be consulted on the website of the Master’s.

 

If I come from an English speaking country, should I submit an English certification?

No, it is not necessary. Although if we have any doubt regarding your level, we may carry out a personal interview.

 

If I come from an English speaking country, should I submit a Spanish certification?

Yes, although you don’t need to submit the certification during the pre-registration process if you don’t have it yet. You can submit it later (always before the beginning of the academic year). However, in specific cases, if you don’t have the certification your language level may be assessed through personal interviews (through Skipe if you are abroad). The minimum level required can be consulted on the website of the Master’s.

 

If I come from a non English speaking country, (for example, Spain), should I certify my English level?

Yes, although you don’t need to submit the certification during the pre-registration process if you don’t have it yet. You can submit it later (always before the beginning of the academic year). How is it assessed?

Examinations have to be carried out in almost every subject.

 

Does the Master’s Degree offer facilities or any type of contact for living in Valencia?

No, but the Universitat de Valencia has hall of residences, although most of them are private and you should contact with them. They are a service not included by the university or the Master’s. For more information click here 
There are also private companies that offer accommodation service search in Valencia (for example www.universalstudents.es). The cost of accommodation in Valencia depends on what you are looking for.

At the classrooms of the UV, Tarongers Campus, building of the Faculty of Economy.
