On 25 April at 18:30 Professor Ana García Blanco will give a conference on autism entitled ‘Paradigm shift: The role of emotions in autism’ at the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Psychology UV.
At the conference she will delve into her revolutionary publication in which she defends that autism is characterised by over-empathy, an idea contrary to the hitherto general consensus that autistic spectrum disorders are characterised by a deficit of it.
Ana García Blanco is Professor of the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology and is associated to the Department of Psychological Personality, Evaluation and Treatment of the Faculty of Psychology UV. She also works as a researcher in the Health Research Institute La Fe (IISLAFE).
