Lecture by Pekka Posio (University of Helsinki):
“Nuevas perspectivas al estudio de lengua y género en el español hablado en Valencia y Guadalajara (México): el corpus CoLaGe y resultados de un proyecto de investigación”.
Professor Pekka Posio will introduce the CoLaGe corpus, a new oral resource that combines linguistic and socio-psychological data to explore how sex and gender-role self-concept influence Spanish language use. The project offers a scalar and multidimensional approach to gender, moving beyond the male/female dichotomy and providing an innovative tool for research on variation, sociolinguistics, and the psychology of language.
