On 11th November 2020, Germán Alejandro Cardona Herrera, a Bolivian former student of the Master in Law, Business and Justice, defended his Doctoral Thesis entitled ‘Freezing of assets in Bolivia. In particular, against inheritance and property rights’.

The Doctoral Thesis was directed by Prof. Ana Montesinos García, Professor of Procedural Law at the Universitat de València. The evaluation committee was formed by Silvia Barona Vilar, Iciar Cordero Cutillas y Javier López Sánchez.

The thesis’ subject matter is the preventive seizure and its study was developed in four chapters. The main objectives of the thesis focused on analysing the nature and extent of this interim measure in its civil, procedural and registry dimensions, as well as its effects on rights arising from family relationships.

The thesis was awarded the highest qualification of outstanding.
