The week of classes devoted to the course “Domestic and International Commercial Arbitration and State Courts. Present and Future”, taught by Prof. Esplugues, concluded this Friday, 27 February, with the visit of José Luis Gómara, who delivered an outstanding lecture on investment arbitration, a field in which he is a leading authority. Indeed, Gómara is the Spanish-speaking expert with the most extensive practical and theoretical knowledge in investment arbitration, having served as the Spanish State Attorney who initiated and developed the investment arbitration department within the Ministry of Justice. Following a session in which the speaker, drawing on his knowledge and experience, explored investment arbitration and its particular features in depth, the Master’s students had the opportunity to engage in dialogue, ask questions and share experiences from their respective countries of origin.
