Rosa Pla Almendros, a former Master’s student and current PhD candidate in the area of Private International Law at the University of Valencia, has taken part in the international conference entitled “The Digital Services Act and Platform Regulation Conference”, held in Amsterdam on 16 and 17 February and jointly organised by the University of Amsterdam, the Institute for Information Law (better known as IViR) and the DSA Observatory.
The conference, which this year held its second edition following the overwhelming success of the first in 2024, brought together leading experts at international level on the Digital Services Act. In particular, the event featured renowned academics as well as representatives of legislators from the various Member States, officials from the relevant department of the European Commission (DG Connect), representatives of the national authorities responsible for implementing the Regulation (Digital Services Coordinators), as well as NGOs, major online platforms (including Google and Meta), lawyers and other legal professionals interested in the field.
With full capacity reached (and a waiting list of more than 100 attendees), Rosa Pla was selected, following a rigorous evaluation process among around one hundred high-level applications, to participate in the panel devoted to “Private enforcement” of the Digital Services Act, where she was able to exchange ideas and reflections with some of the most highly regarded experts in the field.
