The Master’s programme ends with a lecture on the effective protection of victims

The Master's Degree in Law and Gender Violence will finish its programme with a lecture by renown jurist Ricardo Rodríguez Ruiz.

The lecture, titled “Violencia sobre la mujer. Presente y futuro. Un análisis jurídico para la efectiva protección de las víctimas” (“Violence against women. Present and future. A legal analysis of the effective protection of victims”), will take place on 27 March at 11:00 in the Víctor Fairén Assembly Hall (Classroom 3P08 on the third floor of the Faculty of Law) and will be presented by Ricardo Rodríguez.

Rodríguez is a renown judge with extensive experience in the area of violence against women. From 2013 to 2021 he acted as a sitting judge at the Tribunal for Violence towards Women, number 1 in Huelva. He is currently a professor in the area of criminal law at the Judicial College of Spain, a position he’s held since January 2022. He has also been a participant, along with other experts in the field, at the Observatory against Domestic and Gender-based Violence of the General Council of the Judiciary since 2016.

This event, in particular, is for students of the Master's Degree in Law and Gender Violence, but it is open to all members of the university community.
