Biographical outline:

José Honrubia López (Valencia, 1941) is a commerce professor by the Higher School of Commerce of Valencia, graduate in business sciences and economic sciences by the Complutense University of Madrid, where he got his doctoral studies with a thesis dealing with L’estructura agrària del País Valencià. Over more than forty years of teaching he occupied positions of trainee lecturer in practical sessions, lecturer, pre-tenured lecturer, tenure-track 2 lecturer, and tenured university lecturer.

He taught in the Complutense University of Madrid and in the Technical University of Valencia, carrying out his teaching activity mainly in the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences and in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia. In the area of university management and policies he was founder and first director of the Department of Economic Structure and first secretary of the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Valencia.

His important scientific activity is expressed through more than 33 research projects and the publication, individual or collective, of 29 books, among other publications and congress attendance. Furthermore, between 1975 and 1990 he was technical director of Valencian Economic Promotions, PLC (PREVASA), studies society dependent of the Caixa d’Estalvis de València.
