The rector of the Universitat de València, Maria Vicenta Mestre, has been named full member on the 25th medal by the Academy of Psichology of Spain.

The Academy of Psychology of Spain, on the plenary board held the past 13th of December, decided to name the current rector of the Universitat de València, Maria Vicenta Mestre, Full Member on the 25th Medal, vacant since its creation.

Henceforth, a period of six months begins for the acceptance of the designation, which will end with  the formal sitting of reception, where the President of the Academy of Psychology of Spain, Heliodoro Carpintero, will award Maria Vicenta Mestre the 25th Medal and its diploma.

In 2015 the Ministry of Education, Culture & Sports created the Academy of Psychology of Spain. This creation came to add a very important piece in the process of institutionalization of Spanish psychology, and has a large number of public figures known nationally and internationally. The mission of the Academy is the attainment, promotion and maintenance of the highest scientific, cultural and social level of psychology, as well as the promotion of its practice for the benefit of individuals and society.
