The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana has published Decree 41/2018 by which it appoints the chair of Basic Psychology María Vicenta Mestre Escrivá as rector of the Universitat de València.

The Official Gazette of the Comunitat Valenciana (Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana) of April 10, 2018 has published Decree 41/2018, of April 6, of the Consell de la Generalitat Valenciana by which, given the definitive proclamation of the results of the elections held at the Universitat de València last March have, in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 6/2001, of December 21, of Universities, and Law 5/1983, of December 30 , of the Consell, to name director of the Universitat de València - Estudi General, to the professor of Basic Psychology María Vicente Mestre Escrivá.

The decree of the Valencian government also provides that this appointment takes effect from the day after its publication in the official gazette of the Valencian Community, that is to say, from the 11th of April.

The administrative act of taking possession of the new rector will be held on Friday, April 13, and the inauguration is scheduled for next May 8.
