The Group of Cardiovascular Pharmacology includes the  teachers Mª Dolores Ivorra M Antonia Noguera and Pilar D'Ocon. They have been working for years as a consolidated group.

 

Its research, with a translational orientation, is mainly dedicated to the identification of molecular mechanisms, new drug targets and active molecules in cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and heart failure work in both animal models and humans. Moreover, from a welfare approach, its activity is also directed to research on the rational use of medicine in the field of community pharmacy, pharmacovigilance, public health, ...

 

To this end, the group has established collaborations, such as consolidated projects at national and international level, with: private companies, the Institute of Biomedicine of Valencia (CSIC), the Department of Cardiology at Hospital La Fe and Arnau de Vilanova Hospital Valencia, the Hypertension Unit at the Hospital de La Ribera in Alzira, the Center for Public Health Research of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Pharmacovigilance Center of Valencia and the Ministry of Health of the Generalitat Valenciana.

Currently, the group is integrated into the structure of Interdisciplinary Research BIOTECMED
