Students who fulfil the requirements mentioned above will entry the doctoral programme, and the Academic Committee of the Doctoral Programme in “Contemporary Philosophical Thought” will be the responsible for verifying their compliance.
In the event that applications exceed the number of places available, a selection process will be opened, according to the following criteria.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Curricular assessment according to:

  • Suitability of the degree presented for admission and academic record: up to 40/100. The maximum score in this section can only be achieved if the applicant holds a research-based master’s degree in one of the program’s fields of knowledge: Philosophy; Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts; Logic and Philosophy of Science.

  • Alignment of the applicant’s academic profile and research interests (as described in their motivation letter) with the program’s research lines: up to 20/100.

  • Knowledge of foreign languages: up to 20/100.

  • Completion of courses, attendance at conferences, stays at other universities, etc.: up to 20/100.

In the case of part-time students, the applicant of this modality should present the corresponding request to the Academic Committee of the Doctoral Programme with the statement of reasons and circumstances which justify it (work, family situation...). The modality change must be requested as well to this Committee, which will proceed to revise the doctoral students’ customised plan of activities in order to adequate it to the new modality.
