Junil a les terres dels bàrbars in the Catalan Reading Club​

On Friday 25 March, at 12am, we will have a new meeting of the Catalan Reading Club at the Language Learning Centre (CAL) of Blasco Ibáñez. In this fourth meeting, we will read and discuss Junil a les terres dels bàrbars, by Joan-Lluís Lluís, an adventure novel set in the time of Emperor Augustus at the Roman Empire.

Participation in the Club is open to the entire UV community (and free of charge) and registration is required: e-mail us to cal.blasco@uv.es, or visit the CAL. You can get a copy at the Languages Learning Centre, in any public library, or you can buy it in a bookshop.

This Club aims to offer you books in Catalan, because we know that reading is a fantastic source of pleasure and also learning. We want to provide you, at the Blasco Ibáñez campus Language Learning Centre, a space where you can discuss your impressions of the books you have read. At the Club you will meet other people who are also studying or practising Catalan and you will exercise your reading comprehension, oral expression and interaction, as well as expanding your vocabulary and learning more about Valencian culture.

Remember that the Blasco Ibáñez Language Learning Centre will be closed for normal uses (advice, self-study, loan of material, etc.) during the Reading Club meetings.
