The academic degree committees collaborate in the organization of teaching and ensure the academic consistency of the corresponding degree program.
| FUNCTIONS |
The functions of the academic degree committee (Art. 31 of the Modified Internal Regulations ACGUV 24/2019) are as follows:
a)To draw up the proposed organisation of the academic year, taking into account the criteria established by the Governing Council and the proposals of the departments. This proposal must specify the language in which the course will be taught.
b) To coordinate and supervise the teaching programme of the departments involved.
c) To prepare and distribute the necessary documentation for the guidance and information of students on curricular pathways, optional subjects and free-choice subjects.
d) To issue a report on the proposed timetable and allocation of spaces.
e) Prepare an annual report on the teaching activity carried out during the academic year, in accordance with the objectives of the degrees, which must be sent to the Centre's management and the members of the Centre's board.
f) Propose a resolution, after receiving the report from the relevant departments, on requests for partial validation of studies.
| COMPOSITION |
The academic degree committees, chaired by the dean of the faculty or the person delegated by the dean, shall be governed by regulations approved by the Governing Council. Each degree program may have a coordinator whose mission is to ensure continuity in the coordination and supervision tasks that correspond to the Academic Degree Committee. This person is appointed by the Faculty Board, at the proposal of the Academic Degree Committee, after consulting the areas or departments concerned.
Given the structure of the study plans for the degrees offered by the Faculty of Philology, Translation, and Communication, there is a Center Coordination Committee (SUPRACAT for bachelor's degrees and SUPRACCA for master's degrees), made up of those responsible for coordinating all bachelor's and master's degrees, the Dean or the person delegated by the Dean (the Vice Dean of Degree Studies, the Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research), the center administrator, and a student.
