The Faculty of Geography and History, in collaboration with the Department of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History, launches the III Edition of the illustration contest “Women also starred in the past: inclusive representations to disseminate our history”, an initiative aimed at promoting the visibility of the role of women throughout Prehistory and History through artistic creation (motivated by the Grants to finance activities on equality between women and men and on diversity in the field of the University of Valencia, called by the Vice-Rectorate of Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Policies, University of Valencia).
The competition invites reflection on the past from a critical and creative perspective, highlighting the role of women in different historical contexts.
Illustrations can be submitted —individually or in pairs— which must be accompanied by a brief explanatory text.
