On 18 December at 17:30, the exhibition "Darrere de la pell: La imatge com a cos en construcció", by the artist Ángel Arias, will open as part of the first edition of the competition "Residir en la Investigació. Transferència del coneixement a través de l'art".

The artist was chosen by a committee of members from the Centre Cultural La Nau, following a preliminary selection by the research group  "Medicina contemporània, sabers, pràctiques i escenaris. Ciència, tècnica i societat en la Edat Moderna (segles XIX-XX)”, as the recipient group.

Between 2024 and 2025, Ángel Arias maintained an intense dialogue with the diverse exhibition experiences and members of the various research projects of the López Piñero Inter-University Institute, which resulted in the production of a series of visual and sculptural works and an exhibition design centred on contemporary medical representations of the body. In accordance with the call's regulations, the coordination of the exhibition's installation and production has been the responsibility of the Exhibitions Coordinator of the Centre Cultural La Nau, in collaboration with the artist and the company Santiandrés Montaje Expositivo.
