Students of the Master's Degree in Advanced Robotic and Endoscopic Surgery of the University of Valencia (UV) visited the IRTIC facilities as part of the teaching of the degree. The session has presented the technologies that they study in the classroom and will use in the operating room, as well as simulators and training courses available, among other topics.

The objectives of the master's degree in robotic surgery are to learn the principles of laparoscopic, thoracoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as endoscopic and robotic instruments. It also focuses on working skills in the different surgeries of the main surgical specialties, using simulators progressively for this purpose.

Likewise, the handling, suturing and ligation of the different anatomical structures is part of the training, as well as learning to manipulate the console and the coordination of the endoscopic arms of the daVinci robot. In conclusion, the program enables the surgical specialist to master the surgical techniques of the future.

The Master in Advanced Robotic and Endoscopic Surgery involves the University of Valencia, the General University Hospital of Valencia Consortium and the General University Hospital of Valencia Research Foundation through the Chair in Robotic and Advanced Surgery of the UV.
